Dr. Todd B. Whitsitt, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Todd B. Whitsitt, M.D., F.A.C.C., earned his Medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. His residency was at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia, and his cardiology fellowship was at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Whitsitt is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Whitsitt brings cardiovascular care to the Yuma community, providing a full range of cardiology care. In diagnosing and treating a patient’s condition, Dr. Whitsitt utilizes the most recent advances in cardiology. He realized the importance of communicating clearly with patients so that both can participate fully in decisions regarding treatment. Dr. Whitsitt maintains close contact with a patient’s personal physician, fully informing them about their patient’s condition and progress.
Yuma District Hospital is able to provide many of the tests Dr. Whitsitt uses in diagnosing his patients, including stress tests, echocardiograms, carotid ultrasounds, nuclear stress tests, clinical lab tests, and stress echos.
Dr. Whitsitt’s practice (the Heart Center of the Rockies) accepts most insurance plans, HMO/PPOs, and Medicare/Medicaid.
