About Our Facility
The New Yuma District Hospital, located at 1000 West 8th Avenue right on the western edge of Yuma on Highway 34, opened on June 4th, 2007.
The Yuma District Hospital received official notification of USDA's intention to fund the new hospital project during a presentation by U.S. Senator Wayne Allard at a rural development forum held in Ft. Morgan on October 14, 2005.The hospital took 13 months to construct, with state-of-the-art technology embedded throughout the building.

Yuma District Hospital is a licensed 22-bed critical access hospital serving a population of approximately 7,000 people in western Yuma County and eastern Washington County. We offer a full range of services, including inpatient care, surgical care, obstetrics and delivery, 24 hour emergency room, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation services, swing bed care, and home health care. Yuma Clinic is a hospital based rural health clinic staffed by employed physicians. Yuma Clinic serves as a rotation site for physicians in Colorado family practice residency programs. YDH also has one outreach clinic located in Akron, Colorado. The Center for Specialty Medicine , also located in the hospital, provides space for visiting specialists in a wide range of specialties. Yuma District Hospital is certified as a Level IV Trauma Center.
