Dr. Robert G. Loyd
Dr. Robert G. Loyd is an Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. He received his surgical training at the Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Phoenix, Arizona, and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Upon graduation, he chose to return to his hometown of Wray and serve the residents of rural Colorado. He has been serving as a General Surgeon in Yuma County for the past 18 years.
Dr. Loyd is a football official, enjoys playing golf in his spare time, and runs a few cattle. Dr. Loyd and his wife Karen – a registered nurse – have three children, Amanda, Brian and Christa.
Dr. Loyd has expertise in several different areas, including appendix, hernias, central line placements, hemorrhoids, vasectomies, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, and removal of skin lesions, all of which can be performed at the Yuma District Hospital.
Dr. Loyd’s practice accepts most insurance plans, HMO/PPOs, and Medicare/Medicaid. The Yuma District Hospital and Dr. Loyd’s office understand the increasing complexity of insurance requirements and claim procedures, and we will work together to assist you in processing your claims. Dr. Loyd is available for appointments at the Yuma District Hospital every Thursday.
